World Environment Day - How to remove your Nut Butter label

Posted by Nick Sheridan on

World Environment Day is an international day for the environment. It is celebrated every year on the 5th of June. The theme for World Environment Day 2023 is "Beat Plastic Pollution".

The goal of this year's campaign is to raise awareness about the problem of plastic pollution and to encourage people to take action to reduce their use of single-use plastics.

In a previous blog post we mention that we use glass jars to store our nut butters in, instead of plastic jars. Therefore our nut butter jars can be recycled.

Removing the label on your nut butter jar

The label on our glass jars are easily removable but if you incur any issues we have a simple trick for you. Simply fill your empty nut butter jar with water and place it into the microwave for 2 minutes (without the lid). Remove the glass jar from the microwave and simply peel off the label.

Plastic pollution

Plastic pollution is a major environmental problem. Every year, millions of tons of plastic waste end up in our oceans and landfills. This plastic can take hundreds of years to decompose, and it can harm wildlife and pollute our environment.

Say no to single-use plastics

There are many things that we can do to reduce our impact on the environment. We can start by reducing our use of single-use plastics. We can also recycle plastic whenever possible, and we can support businesses that are working to reduce their use of plastic.

Every little bit helps! By taking action, we can make a difference for the environment and for future generations.
