The best Vegan Mocha you'll ever find

There’s a lot happening this month. International Vegan Month, International French Toast Day, International Espresso day… Phew.

To celebrate all of the above, we have been testing and trialing some classics (tough gig, we know right?!) veganized and caffeinated. Introducing our 99th Monkey Vegan Mocha! We have also shared with our our Vegan Espresso French Toast! If you missed out, you can find the recipe here (insert hyperlink)

You’re probably thinking that you’ve had a mocha before, big deal. Mix some coffee and chocolate together and there you go! Think again. We’re serious about this one. It’s so delicious, creamy and the perfect ratio of everything great you will not be disappointed! Think, a strong shot of espresso for all your caffeine needs, some creamy 99th Monkey Almond Cacao Butter for that rich undertone with a sprinkle of cacao to top it off.

Let’s get into it.

Vegan Mocha, the 99th Monkey way

Ingredients

1 cup non dairy milk (we love oat milk)

1 shot of espresso

2 tsp maple syrup

1 tbsp Almond Cacao Butter

1 tsp cacao powder (and some extra to sprinkle on top)

Method

  1. In a blender, combine the milk, shot of espresso, maple syrup, 99th Monkey Almond Cacao Butter and cacao powder
  2. Blend all of the ingredients until combined and fluffy
  3. Warm the mocha in a small pot until slightly warm. Do not let it boil.
  4. Get out your favourite mug or cup and pour in your coffee!
  5. Top with a little extra cacao powder and ENJOY!

That’s it! We’ve been having this on REPEAT at 99th Monkey HQ and its a crowd favourite. As the weather heats up, pour it over ice for the perfect cooling beverage on those hot summer mornings.

We cannot wait for you to give these a go! We guarantee it’ll be your no go to once you’ve tried them. Find us on instagram for more delicious creations, let us know yours and we’ll see you there!

Happy International Vegan Month and Espresso Day Fam!
